proALPHA

proALPHA CA-Link sets standards in the integration of business processes, as almost all conventional CAD systems are integrated online into proALPHA. This means that all data stored in proALPHA, for example data about components or drawings, can be accessed and maintained directly from the design engineer’s CAD software. The design engineer stores his or her drawings and construction parts lists in the proALPHA database, helping to ensure that uniform data is available company-wide.

CA-Link also offers a sophisticated change management system. Parts master files and bills of materials are generated from the models and stored in proALPHA. Thus all design processes are redundancy-free and performed seamlessly with no service-intensive interfaces.

Another invaluable feature is that the generation of a new parts list triggers the proALPHA Workflow automation function, which informs all specialists in the process chain, for example the member of staff responsible for process planning or the Buyer, of the tasks in hand. And it goes without saying that the design engineer’s drawings and construction data can be accessed and displayed from every proALPHA work station. Thus, proALPHA offers outstanding Engineering Data Management (EDM) and Product Data Management (PDM) capabilities.
